OD404

aka...
Dom Sweeten and Superfast Oz

Artist Profile

Dom Sweeten and Superfast Oz, better known as OD404, have been producing dance music together since their meeting in Brighton when they found themselves residents at the Warehouse Club's "Energized" night in 1996. Frequent dj sets at many of Brighton's hard house and trance events, including the Shoreham beach parties gave them a strong footing to start road testing early productions on rigs.
With only an Atari ST and a Kawai K1 keyboard they managed to attract the attention of Lab 4 who invited them up to their Oxfordshire studio to master and mix two tracks down for a proposed release. This was the start of a prolific recording and remix partnership which included a huge string of remixes and a massive catalogue of original tracks.
1997 gave rise to Kaktai Records and within a short space of time they had managed to carve their stamp on tracks, both original and remixes, with most of the major hard house labels in reach.
Tripoli Trax were one of the first to spot how these boys were doing and hosted many of the early productions that evolved from Dom and Oz's studio.
The OD404 sound quickly became a key part in shaping the hard dance scene we now know.
It was only a matter of time before they decided to take their sound on the road and finally, this year, we have seen some exclusive live performances from OD404, showing how they don't just have a flair for studio wizardry. They can produce a blistering sound capable of taking us on a journey through the whole OD404 experience.
