Cooking Up Yer Brain - This is definitely my favourite track of 2010 so far!
Tough beats and a sublimely balanced bass line wrapped around infectious old skool stabs & fx’s with a vocal line to die for (a vox loop you wished you had found for your own tune)
Any way back to business... the break down in this bad boy is reminiscent of the mighty warehouse hard house sounds from tunes gone by, when I first got ‘Cooking Up Yer Brain’ I rewound the build up at least 10 times, oh yes it is that good!! Karl Davis

U Got Me – Hard House big room style
Defective Audio cuts up the vox and rip roaring synth sounds like a ninja on this tune. I can see this one going down a storm on a big system the main lead synth unravels into an aural orgy of razor sharp goodness to ensure feet are stomping and hands are throwing those wonderful hard house type karate shapes enjoy. Nobody is sure when dance started but there’s no denying it is a primeval part of our history as a species. Dance transcends cultures and races, age and sex. It is both unifying and it is uniquely expressive. There’s nothing more liberating than having a good old stomp on the dance floor and we’ve all experienced that euphoric moment where you know there’s no place else where you’d rather be.
In a culture where it’s becoming harder and harder to make any sort of real connection with a person outside of a cyber social network, dance still brings us together. Dance is eternal. We live it and we love it. So in this spirit Carbon and Spinball have come together to mix a collection of tracks that have moved us to get up and dance. We hope it does the same for you.
