Methods, mayhem and madness

The hub of 404studio is an Apple Mac G5, dual 2GB with
1GB ram running Logic Pro 6.43
A Spirit 328XD digital mixer expanded with an additional 8ch mic / line interface bridges the gap between analog
and digital domains.

All hardware synths are monitored through Logic to make
use of the dsp processing and channel routing.
A Kenton Pro2000 provides midi to the analog synths and
an Emagic AMT8 powers the remaining hardware synths
and samplers.

The ability to route signals around the studio with minimum
signal loss was a top priority when connecting the gear and has helped to maximize the sonic potential of what can be
produced from a sound design point of view.

Favorites such as the Kurzweil K2500 sampler / synth are
squeezed to breaking point when in full use.
others like the Virus C are also continually invited to show their redline status.
Full gear abuse and input / output overdriving is frequently invited
to produce the required sound.
